L’Agence Nationale de la Statistique et de la Démographie, dans son bulletin publié récemment relève qu’au deuxième trimestre de l’année 2020, le Produit Intérieur Brut (PIB) en volume, corrigé des variations saisonnières (CVS), s’est replié de 2,5% par rapport au trimestre précédent.
Ce résultat est imputable à une baisse de l’activité dans l’ensemble des sous-secteurs : primaire (-0,5%), secondaire (-4,2%) et tertiaire (-2,6%). S’agissant des taxes nettes de subventions sur les produits, une baisse de 0,9% a été enregistrée sur la période sous-revue.
Du côté de la demande, il est noté, en rythme trimestriel, une baisse de 1,7% de la consommation finale et une hausse de 1,8% de la formation brute de capitale fixe.
Selon toujours le document, l’activité économique, au deuxième trimestre de 2020, a connu une contraction de 1,3% par rapport au deuxième trimestre de l’année 2019. Cette contreperformance est expliquée par celles du secondaire (-2,2%) et du secteur tertiaire (-2,8%). La bonne tenue du primaire (+5,2%) a atténué cette baisse.
Sous l’angle de la demande, il est enregistré en glissement annuel, une hausse de 1,7% de la formation brute de capitale fixe et une baisse de 3,5% de la consommation finale.
Au titre du Produit Intérieur Brut en valeur, il est estimé à 3 076,7 milliards de FCFA au deuxième trimestre de 2020.
