L’activité économique interne (hors agriculture et sylviculture) a baissé de 1,9% au mois de mai, rapporte la Direction de la prévention et des études économiques, du ministère de l’Economie, du Plan et de la Coopération.
Cette baisse s’explique par la contraction des secteurs tertiaire (-3,8%) et secondaire (-2,4%), indique la DPEE dans le Point mensuel de conjoncture de mai.
La publication qui parait 30 jours après la période étudiée relève par contre que le secteur primaire (+3,4%) et l’administration publique (+1,5%) se sont renforcés sur la période sous revue.
Elle signale que sur une base annuelle, une croissance de 12,5% de l’activité économique est notée, en mai 2021, à la faveur du tertiaire (+12,0%), du secondaire (+23,2%) et, dans une moindre mesure, du primaire (+7,1%).
Selon toujours la DPEE, ’’au mois de mai 2021, la balance commerciale est marquée par une amélioration de 76,0 mds du déficit, pour se situer à 109,8 mds’’.
’’Celle-ci s’explique par le dynamisme des exportations (+12,1% ; +21,4 mds) conjugué à une baisse des importations de biens (-15,1% ; – 62,1 mds), sur un mois’’, explique-t-on dans Le Point mensuel.
Ainsi, selon le document consulté par l’APS, ’’le taux de couverture des importations par les exportations a augmenté de 13,7 points de pourcentage et s’est établi à 56,5% sur la période’’.
