Dans un communiqué parvenu mardi à l’APS, Kosmos Energy annonce que “Khady Dior Ndiaye a été nommée vice-présidente et directrice régionale chargée des activités au Sénégal et en Côte d’Ivoire, pays dans lesquels la société possède des intérêts substantiels”.
“Au Sénégal, ajoute la même source, Mme Ndiaye est à présent responsable des opérations relatives à trois découvertes importantes de gaz naturel au large des côtes [sénégalaises] – Guembeul, Teranga et Yakaar, ainsi que du projet de gaz naturel liquéfié de Grand Tortue/Ahmeyim en cours de développement en partenariat avec BP, Petrosen et la Société mauritanienne des hydrocarbures et de patrimoine minier.”
“En Côte d’Ivoire, où elle dirige Kosmos Energy depuis janvier 2019, Mme Ndiaye chapeaute les opérations relatives à la recherche de cinq blocs contigus en mer, qui couvrent environ 17.000 kilomètres carrés”, ajoute le communiqué.
Selon le texte, Khady Dior Ndiaye, diplomée de l’Université de Georgetown (Washington) et de HEC Paris, “a rejoint Kosmos Energy récemment, en provenance de Citibank, où elle a été présidente-directrice générale pour les régions Afrique occidentale et Afrique centrale, chargée des activités dans 14 pays”.
“Pendant ses vingt années chez Citibank, affirme le communiqué, Mme Ndiaye a occupé divers postes de direction, accumulant ainsi une vaste expérience dans les domaines des services bancaires aux entreprises et aux gouvernements, des marchés de capitaux, des opérations de change, du commerce international, et de la réglementation.”
