L’ancien consultant marketing de la Fédération internationale d’athlétisme (IAAF) Pape Massata Diack suggère une mutualisation des droits commerciaux et télévisuels de la Fédération sénégalaise de football (FSF) et de la Ligue sénégalaise de football professionnel pour des profits plus importants.
“On aura ainsi un véhicule de commercialisation unique pour la FSF et la LSFP”, a-t-il expliqué samedi lors d’un panel organisé par l’Association nationale de la presse sportive (ANPS) sur les 12 ans de l’ère de la professionnalisation du football au Sénégal.
M. Diack, ancien conseiller marketing de la FSF de 2001 à 2006, considère que la Fédération de football dispose avec l’équipe nationale “un véhicule’’ pouvant intéresser un nombre plus important d’annonceurs.
Le patron de l’agence de marketing sportif Pamodzi de souligner que ceux qui s’intéressant aux Lions, première équipe africaine du classement mondial de la FIFA, doivent être amenés à prendre en compte tous les autres pans du football national, s’ils veulent lier leur image à celle des Lions.
Plusieurs dirigeants du football sénégalais se sont réjouis de cette initiative de la presse sportive nationale consistant à faire un bilan de l’entrée en vigueur du professionnalisme en 2009.
“C’est une initiative pertinente qui vient à son heure”, a indiqué Saer Seck, le président de la Ligue professionnelle, ajoutant que l’ANPS “a la crédibilité et la légitimité” d’organiser une telle rencontre.
C’est “le moment de faire un diagnostic”, a-t-il ajouté, avant d’annoncer que la Ligue sénégalaise de football professionnel (LSFP) qu’il dirige a prévu un symposium pour faire l’état des lieux à la fin de la présente saison.
Le président de la FSF, Augustin Senghor, a abondé dans le sens, estimant que cet exercice est d’autant plus important qu’il est fait par “un œil extérieur”.
Il juge qu’il est temps de s’interroger sur les formes de professionnalisme que les acteurs du football souhaitent ériger au Sénégal.
Ibrahima Ndao, directeur de cabinet du ministère des Sports, a lui fait part des attentes placées par la tutelle dans cette rencontre.
“Le ministre en personne aurait aimé être présent”, a-t-il dit, se félicitant de l’intérêt des sujets proposés par les panélistes.
M. Ndao a toutefois regretté l’absence de sujet relatif à la question des infrastructures.
