Dramane Aïdara : “Au Sénégal, 97% des entreprises sont dans l’informel”

« L’économie informelle n’est pas un phénomène marginal » ! C’est du moins l’avis de Dramane Aïdara, Directeur de l’équipe d’appui technique de l’Organisation internationale du Travail (OIT) au travail décent pour l’Afrique de l’Ouest.

« Plus de 60% de l’emploi dans le monde est dans le secteur informel. En Afrique, l’emploi informel représente 85% de l’emploi. Au Sénégal, l’informel concerne 90% des emplois et 97% des entreprises », a-t-il fait savoir ce jeudi, lors d’un atelier animé par le ministre de l’Artisanat.

Selon M.Aidara, la formalisation du secteur informel est devenue une nécessité, afin que ses acteurs puissent en tirer profit, mais également moderniser l’économie sénégalaise. « Nous saluons l’engagement du Sénégal, à l’instar d’autres pays dans le processus de formalisation de cette économie informelle », a-t-il, déclaré en marge de l’atelier de lancement de l’élaboration de la stratégie nationale de formalisation de l’économie informelle.
