Le ministre du Commerce a sorti un arrêté pour fixer les prix du riz, de l’huile, du sucre et du gaz butane. Les commerçants qui refuseraient de les appliquer vont être sanctionnés. Les prix de l’huile et du sucre qui avaient connu une hausse, sont revenus à la normale.
L‘huile de palme raffinée est fixée à 1200 F Cfa le litre, et l’huile en dosette de 250 ml à 350 F Cfa. Le sucre cristallisé devra être cédé à 600 F Cfa le kg, et le riz brisé non parfumé à 300 F Cfa le kg, le gaz butane de 2,7 kg à 1305 F Cfa et ceux de 6, 9 et 12 kg coûtent désormais respectivement 2885 F Cfa, 4290 F Cfa et 6250 F Cfa. C’est en somme la réponse du gouvernement à la hausse des prix des denrées de première nécessité. Ces prix ont été fixés par un arrêté du ministère du Commerce.
Cette mesure fait suite à la tenue du Conseil national de la consommation du mardi 31 août passé. Les propositions suivantes avaient été formulées : la suppression de la Taxe conjoncturelle à l’importation (Tci) sur le sucre cristallisé importé qui fait actuellement l’objet d’une suspension jusqu’au 15 octobre prochain ; la réduction de la taxe d’ajustement à l’importation qui passerait ainsi de 10 à 5% sur les huiles brutes importées, le maintien de la Tva à 0% sur le riz, la suspension des droits de Douane sur le blé, l’application d’un taux de Tva de 0% sur la farine de blé ; le rétablissement des stades de commerce ; l’administration des prix des bidons de 20 litres d’huile ; la mise en œuvre de mesures rendant obligatoires la déclaration des stocks et l’homologation des prix des matériaux de construction.
Selon Aminata Assome Diatta, ministre du Commerce, «le gouvernement a, depuis 2012, pris de nombreuses mesures de baisse des denrées de première nécessité à travers des leviers réglementaires et des mesures fiscales à hauteur de 10 à 25%, avec des résultats satisfaisants sur la stabilité des prix, durant neuf ans». Cependant, a-t-elle dit, «cette tendance a été nettement stoppée par la fulgurante pandémie du Covid-19 qui a lourdement perturbé la chaîne d’approvisionnement à travers le rétrécissement de l’offre mondiale et le coût élevé du fret qui ont ainsi occasionné une hausse exponentielle des denrées alimentaires de base telles que l’huile, le sucre, le riz, le maïs et le blé».
