Côte d’Ivoire : les ressources minérales du projet Fetekro atteignent 2,5 millions d’onces d’or

Endeavour a indiqué mardi que son projet aurifère ivoirien Fetekro héberge désormais 2,5 millions d’onces d’or. Une nouvelle évaluation économique préliminaire intégrant cette donnée est attendue avant la fin de l’année, rendant plus attractif le projet à un moment où l’or affole les compteurs.

En Côte d’Ivoire, le géant minier Endeavour Mining a annoncé cette semaine une nouvelle estimation de ressources pour son projet aurifère Fetekro. Ce dernier hébergerait désormais 2,5 millions d’onces d’or, dont 97 % dans la catégorie « indiquée » soit une amélioration de 108 % par rapport à la précédente estimation.

« Nous pensons que Fetekro a le potentiel pour être un projet de qualité étant donné son potentiel à l’exploration et un gisement à ciel ouvert à grande échelle a déjà été défini […]. Avec plus de 2 millions d’onces à des teneurs supérieures à 3,50 g/t d’or, il s’agirait de notre mine à plus haute teneur en Côte d’Ivoire », a commenté Sébastien de Montessus (photo), PDG de la compagnie.

Pour rappel, une évaluation économique préliminaire (PEA) basée sur la précédente estimation (1,2 million d’onces) avait déjà démontré le fort potentiel économique de Fetekro avec une valeur actuelle nette de 372 millions $ et un taux de rentabilité interne de 37 %. Cette mise à jour de ressources servira donc à actualiser ces données dans une nouvelle PEA attendue en fin d’année.
