Côte d’Ivoire : la part du tourisme dans le PIB en hausse à 7,3 % en 2019

Selon les estimations provisoires du ministère ivoirien du Tourisme, le secteur touristique en Côte d’Ivoire a contribué à environ 7,3% au PIB du pays en 2019, contre 6,25% en 2018.

C’est ce qu’a révélé le ministre ivoirien du Tourisme, Siandou Fofana (photo), lundi 17 février, à l’occasion d’un point de presse sur le lancement du premier forum de l’OMT sur l’investissement touristique en Afrique qui se tiendra à Abidjan du 20 au 22 février 2020.

Le nombre d’arrivées touristiques en Côte d’Ivoire a atteint 4,2 millions de personnes en 2019, contre un peu plus de 3 millions en 2018.

Quant aux revenus tirés de l’activité touristique, ils se chiffrent à environ 1500 milliards FCFA (environ 2,4 milliards dollars ) en 2019, contre 1114 milliards FCFA (environ 1,8 milliard $) en 2018.

L’objectif des autorités ivoiriennes est de porter à environ 8% la part du tourisme dans le PIB, à l’horizon 2025, à travers la stratégie nationale de développement touristique 2018/2025 dénommée « Sublime Côte d’Ivoire ». Les investissements initiaux nécessaires à la mise en œuvre de cette initiative sont estimés à 3200 milliards FCFA (environ 5,4 milliards $).
