La Chambre de commerce, d’industrie et d’agriculture de Dakar (Cciad), et la Confédération de l’industrie indienne (Cii) ont décidé de booster les relations économiques à la hauteur de celles diplomatiques entre le Sénégal et l’Inde. Pour cela, les deux structures ont signé un protocole d’accord. Le chef de la Cii, Subramaniam Swaminathan, par ailleurs Ceo d’Iris business services limited, et Abdoulaye Sow, président de la Cciad, ont paraphé vendredi dernier, l’accord liant les deux entités.
Cet accord intervient dans le cadre d’une mission au Sénégal de la Cii qui a séjourné dans la capitale sénégalaise les 2 et 3 juin 2022, en parallèle de la toute première visite dans notre pays du vice-président de l’Inde, M. Venkaiah Naidu.
Le président de la Cciad, lors de la signature de l’accord, a pris «l’engagement de collaborer avec la Fédération des chambres de commerce et d’industrie et la Confédération de l’industrie indiennes pour développer davantage les relations entre les secteurs privés des deux pays».
L’ambassadeur de l’Inde au Sénégal, G. V. Srinivas, estime pour sa part, que cet accord va renforcer les relations entre les deux pays. Dans le même sillage, M. Naidu est d’avis que cet accord permettra aux secteurs privés des deux pays de mieux se connaître, afin d’exploiter les opportunités d’affaires en Inde et au Sénégal. Le ministre Abdou Karim, en charge du suivi du Pse, qui a pris part à la cérémonie, a salué ce bel exemple de collaboration Sud-Sud pour développer les partenariats entre secteurs privés.
