L’or s’est négocié à 1 885 dollars l’once vendredi à Singapour. La reprise économique mondiale potentiellement compromise par l’augmentation des cas de Covid-19 et les tensions USA-Chine alimentent l’intérêt des investisseurs pour le métal. Les producteurs africains et les compagnies se frottent les mains.
L’or affole toujours autant les compteurs sur les marchés mondiaux. Le métal jaune s’est négocié à 1 885 dollars l’once à Singapour ce vendredi, porté notamment par des tensions exacerbées entre la Chine et les États-Unis. À cela s’ajoutent les craintes des investisseurs redoutant que l’augmentation des cas liés à la pandémie de Covid-19 freine la reprise économique dans le monde.
Par ailleurs, les mesures de relance de l’économie américaine par la Réserve fédérale (Fed), avec notamment des taux réels quasi nuls ou négatifs, incitent davantage les investisseurs à trouver refuge dans l’or. Certains contrats sur l’or se sont même négociés à plus de 1 900 dollars l’once sur le Comex (marché américain de métaux précieux) cette semaine.
Les prévisions de Goldman Sachs qui prévoit depuis plusieurs mois un prix de l’or à plus de 2 000 dollars l’once sont plus que jamais d’actualité. La pandémie ne donnant aucun signe de régression, les investisseurs continueront à faire confiance au métal jaune. Cela garantit donc aux producteurs africains des revenus record cette année et encore plus d’intérêt pour les projets aurifères sur le continent.
