Sénégal: une baisse de 15,5 milliards FCFA des actifs extérieurs des banques

Dakar (Sénégal) – Les actifs extérieurs nets des institutions de dépôts du Sénégal ont enregistré une baisse de 15,5 milliards FCFA (environ 24,800 millions de dollars) au mois de février 2020 comparés à la même période de l’année 2019, a appris APA jeudi auprès de la Banque Centrale des Etats de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (BCEAO).

Ces actifs sont passés de 1847,1 milliards FCFA au mois de février 2019 à 1831,6 milliards FCFA un an plus tard, soit un léger repli de 0,8% en valeur relative (1 FCFA équivaut à 0,0016 dollar). Cette hausse est occasionnée par les banques primaires dont la position s’est affaissée de 13% à 514,9 milliards FCFA contre 591,5 milliards FCFA en février 2019.

Quant à la Banque Centrale, sa position s’est rehaussée de 4,9% à 1316,7 milliards FCFA contre 1255,6 milliards FCFA au terme du mois de février 2019.

Comparés au mois de janvier 2020 où ils se situaient à 1806,6 milliards FCFA, les actifs extérieurs nets ont enregistré une augmentation de 25 milliards FCFA en valeur absolue et 1,4% en valeur relative du fait principalement de la position des banques primaires (+12,5%) tandis que celle de la BCEAO se replie de 2,3%.
