APS) – Le ministre de la Microfinance et de l’Économie sociale et solidaire, Alioune Dione, a lancé, mardi, à Dakar, un projet de lutte contre la pauvreté doté d’un budget de 9 milliards de francs CFA, au profit des régions de Tambacounda (est), Kolda et Sédhiou (sud), et de deux départements de la région de Dakar, à savoir Rufisque et Guédiawaye (ouest).
Le Projet d’appui aux femmes et aux jeunes (PAJEF) cible 66.000 personnes. Il va travailler à leur autonomisation économique et sociale, et favoriser leur inclusion financière en même temps, selon Alioune Dione.
Doté d’un budget de 9 milliards de francs CFA fournis par le gouvernement canadien, il sera mis en œuvre par l’organisation non gouvernementale Développement international Desjardins.
‘’Ce projet s’inscrit dans le sillage de la lutte contre la pauvreté et la morosité économique’’, a précisé M. Dione. Il pense que le PAJEF va pousser les jeunes à rester au Sénégal, à y réaliser leurs rêves et à participer à la création d’emplois.
‘’Le PAFEJ cible 60.000 femmes et 6.000 jeunes pour une durée de six ans et demi’’, a indiqué le ministre de la Microfinance et de l’Économie sociale et solidaire.
Cinquante-huit mille des 60.000 femmes ciblées appartiennent à des groupements villageois et périurbains.
Elles exercent des activités génératrices de revenus dans des domaines tels que l’agriculture, l’élevage, la transformation, le commerce et les services, selon l’organisation Développement international Desjardins.
Deux mille femmes possédant déjà une petite entreprise et ayant la capacité de créer des emplois font partie des bénéficiaires.
Les 6.000 jeunes bénéficiaires sont choisis parmi les diplômés des établissements de formation professionnelle et technique des zones d’intervention.
Les régions de Tambacounda, Kolda et Sédhiou, et les départements de Rufisque et Guédiawaye ont été choisis parce qu’ils présentent un taux élevé de pauvreté.
L’ambassadrice du Canada au Sénégal, Marie-Geneviève Mounier, affirme que le PAJEF, ‘’un projet promoteur et innovant, s’inscrit dans la politique d’aide internationale féministe du Canada, qui vise à éliminer la pauvreté des femmes’’.
