Energie : En 2023, les exportations de pétrole brut du Gabon ont atteint 3 992,7 milliards FCFA

Agence Ecofin – Le brut a représenté 67% des exportations globales du Gabon en 2023. L’économie du pays dépend fortement du secteur pétrolier. Classé 4ème producteur en Afrique subsaharienne, il abrite le 6ème plus grand gisement de pétrole prouvé sur le continent, avec environ 3,68 milliards de barils.

Comptant pour 67% du total des exportations du pays, les exportations gabonaises de pétrole brut ont atteint 3 992,7 milliards FCFA en 2023, en baisse de 4,7% par rapport aux 4 190,5 milliards FCFA de 2022. C’est ce que révèlent les rapports de la DGDDI (Direction générale des douanes et des droits indirects).

La Chine reste le principal client du Gabon en 2023 pour le pétrole brut précise Le Nouveau Gabon, bien que d’autres pays tels que la Malaisie, Trivial et Tobago, l’Australie et l’Italie figurent également parmi les destinations d’exportation.

Malgré cette baisse des exportations, la production pétrolière du Gabon a augmenté au cours de la même période. En 2023, le pays a produit plus de 11,1 millions de tonnes de pétrole, soit une hausse de 7,7% par rapport à l’année précédente. Cette augmentation est attribuée à la performance satisfaisante des champs pétroliers et au bon déroulement des opérations sans incidents majeurs.

Pour 2024, les autorités gabonaises anticipent une augmentation des recettes pétrolières, suivie d’une baisse en 2025.
