Dans le cadre de la commémoration de son cinquantenaire, l’Organisation pour la Mise en Valeur du Fleuve Sénégal (OMVS) organise un forum d’échanges économiques, à partir de lundi, sur le thème : ‘’Bassin du Fleuve Sénégal, modèle d’intégration, espace d’opportunités’’.
Les travaux du forum seront organisés, en format présentiel et virtuel, avec un profil de participants ’’assez diversifié’’, selon un communiqué transmis à l’APS.
Prendront part à la rencontre des représentants de l’administration, d’organisations patronales, d’organisations faîtières (chambres de commerce), de conseils des chargeurs, de partenaires financiers, d’agences spécialisées, de collectivités territoriales, d’organisations institutionnelles du Bassin, partenaires de l’OMVS, indique le texte.
Les panels prévus portent sur les thèmes ‘’énergie : potentialités, Innovation et Défis’’, ‘’transport fluvial : au seuil d’un bouleversement et quel rôle pour le secteur privé’’ et ‘’ressources en Eau : accessibilité et maîtrise des impacts’’.
Le forum se penchera également sur le sous-thème ‘’agrobusiness : projets d’irrigation et agro-industrie’’, l’exploitation minière, notamment les impacts des ouvrages hydroélectriques, et la contribution du secteur au développement du Bassin du Fleuve Sénégal.
La cérémonie d’ouverture sera présidée le ministre de l’Eau et de l’Assainissement, Serigne Mbaye Thiam, en présence du Haut-Commissaire de l’Organisation pour la Mise en Valeur du Fleuve Sénégal (OMVS), Hamed Diane Semega, précise le communiqué.
