Sénégal : Les Douanes interceptent des trafiquants de stupéfiants

Des faux médicaments, du chanvre indien et de la morphine, d’une valeur totale de près de 150 millions F CFA, ont été saisis hier jeudi dans deux localités du pays.

Les agents des Douanes sénégalaises, dans le cadre de la lutte contre le trafic international de stupéfiants, frappent fort. Un communiqué, reçu vendredi à APA, renseigne que la Brigade commerciale de Keur Ayip (Centre) a découvert « quatre colis de chanvre indien, d’un poids total de 400 kg, pour une contrevaleur estimée à 48 millions F CFA, 4000 comprimés testés positifs à la morphine estimés à 51 millions F CFA et des faux médicaments d’une contrevaleur de 6,8 millions F CFA ».

Le document précise que la saisie a eu lieu « entre Touba Saloum et Darou Salam Nioro dans la forêt de Keur Madiabel ». En outre, indique le communiqué, le Groupement Polyvalent de Recherches et de Répression de la Fraude (GPRRF) de Thiès (Ouest) a aussi confisqué des produits prohibés.

Cette Unité spéciale des Douanes sénégalaises a réalisé « une saisie de 280 kg de chanvre indien d’espèce brown à Sandiara (Ouest). Le produit est conditionné en 13 ballots contenant 152 paquets d’une contrevaleur de 41,4 millions F CFA ».

Le convoyeur, de nationalité malienne, a été appréhendé dans la forêt de Sandiara alors qu’il attendait « vraisemblablement les commanditaires pour procéder à la livraison de la drogue ».

Plus que jamais déterminées à combattre le trafic illicite sous toutes ses formes, les Douanes sénégalaises informent que « l’enquête suit son cours en collaboration avec d’autres Forces de Défense et de Sécurité pour (arrêter) d’éventuels membres de ce réseau criminel ».
