Le gouvernement sénégalais a recruté 10 000 personnes pour son programme « emploi vert », a annoncé vendredi le ministre de l’Environnement et du développement durable, Abdou Karim Sall, cité par la chaîne publique RTS.
« Ces nouvelles recrues vont passer une période test de deux ans et puis nous allons évaluer avant de leur signer des CDI », a-t-il ajouté en précisant que 7 000 seront affectés à l’Agence nationale de la grande muraille verte et les 3 000 restants dans les différents services de son département ministériel.
Le ministre a aussi fait savoir que ces nouvelles recrues allaient intervenir dans la lutte contre la déforestation, la protection de l’environnement, mais aussi dans la lutte contre les feux de brousse. Selon lui, ces nouveaux agents vont suivre une formation avant leur déploiement sur le terrain.
Le président sénégalais Macky Sall avait réitéré en mars dernier sa décision de procéder à une réorientation des allocations budgétaires, avec un financement d’au moins 450 milliards de francs CFA (800 millions de dollars) pour une durée de trois ans, dont 150 milliards en 2021. Selon le chef d’Etat sénégalais, ces ressources serviront à financer le Programme d’urgence pour l’emploi et l’insertion socio-économique des jeunes.
