Cameroun : Réouverture de l’aéroport international de Yaoundé-Nsimalen

Les activités ont repris ce jour 24 mai à l’aéroport International de Yaoundé-Nsimalen, après trois jours de débrayage, causés par l’avion, un Embraer 135 de la compagnie Camair Co. loué à la compagnie équato-guinéenne Cronos Airlines, qui avait raté la piste à l’atterrissage et avait manqué de justesse un crash.

Des témoignages concordants indiquaient qu’un avion de la compagnie nationale aérienne du Cameroun (Camair-Co) avait effectué une sortie de piste, en début de soirée de vendredi 21 mai, provoquant la panique chez les 35 passagers et le personnel naviguant. Les circonstances exactes de l’incident ne sont pas encore connues. Néanmoins, la piste mouillée alors qu’il pleuvait serait un des éléments qui auraient été à la base de cet incident.

Mais selon un premier bilan non officiel, aucune victime n’avait été enregistrée. Notons que le Cameroun n’a pas connu d’accident d’avion majeur depuis la chute, le 5 mai 2007, du 737 de Kenya Airways au départ de Douala.
